Carla Faith Kithcart-Attorney-at Law, has been licensed to practice law in the Commonwealth of Virginia since 1991. She received her undergraduate degree from Rutgers University in 1981 majoring in English with a minor in Criminal Justice/Urban Planning. After working for a major insurance company for over six years, she returned to school receiving her Juris Doctorate Degree from Regent University, in May of 1990. Attorney Kithcart is currently in private practice as a solo-practitioner in Virginia Beach, Virginia.
She initially began to practice in the Suffolk office of what was then the law firm of Penny & Barnes. In January of 1995, attorney Kithcart left the firm, which had become Barnes, Faulcon, McKenna & Kithcart. She then became a partner at Rowlands, Cancelleri, Cartier & Kithcart, now Rowlands & Associates, in January of 1995, handling mainly personal injury matters.
Attorney Kithcart has been a solo practitioner since January of 1997. She is a member of New Life Providence of Virginia Beach, Virginia. She has been actively involved in women’s ministry and is a lay teacher and speaker. She is married with two children. In her spare time she enjoys walking, biking, reading and singing.
Mrs. Kithcart's practice can best be described as a general practice in that she handles a wide range of legal matters, i.e., domestic matters: including uncontested divorce, custody and support, adoptions; traffic offenses; personal injury; bankruptcies; wills, POA’s, do not resuscitate orders; landlord-tenant disputes; deed preparations; contracts and entertainment law; and Social Security matters. She handles some criminal matters, but mostly on behalf of juveniles. She also serves on the court appointed list of attorneys for the cities of Norfolk, Virginia Beach and Chesapeake’s Juvenile & Domestic Relations Courts. The range of cases includes misdemeanors, felonies, domestic disputes, custody disputes and representation of children in the foster care system.

I have tried to build a firm based on integrity and caring while being guided by faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. As a result, most of my business comes from referrals by satisfied clients who have been pleased with the service we have provided and the manner in which we have provided it. Although my office is located in the City of Virginia Beach, it is just two miles from the Norfolk line and a short drive from Chesapeake. In addition, we have met with clients at their homes, hospitals or nursing homes as the need has arisen.
